Paradox best seems to explain paradoxity. The death of fantasy is not
merely the evaporation of "the truth" but it is also failure of fetish
and opening of a path towards the demystification of "the truth" into
being "a mere lame truthification of false truth". I wanted to write
eulogy of death of fantasy but then question struck in my mind: is it
death of my fantasy or fantasies are born to die through miserable
death-without having funerals and graves? Or this kind of animal is
always tamed in this illusion of fantasy-as to create at first
impression that we are supermen. So that second can happen- which is to
fall-down in first flight of supermenity into the abyss of reality? I
was reading Michel Foucault's book " The Courage of Truth" and Giorgio
Agamben's book " What is an Apparatus?". Interestingly i see that both
tell us that this urge of knowing is implicated to implicate someone
from one implication to other one-i.e. from one state of desire to the
other state of desire. Or Like someone thinks he/she is trapped
somewhere and he/she need to get freedom from this chain of
imprisonment as to be liberated. This urge of fantasy is described by
Michel Foucault as " the Socratic principle of " Know yourself" (pp-4).
He calls this principle parrhesia, which in french means a modality of
truth-telling. He says the act of truth making is manifested through
this truth-telling realism -which he says is located in this modality.
My Italian friend Giorgio Agamben says to similar kind of thing
"apparatus". He says "by the term "apparatus" i mean a kind of
formation, to speak, that at a given historical moment has as its major
function the response to an urgency. The apparatus therefore has
dominant strategic function".
So where is liberation? what about agency? what about
comradeship of knowledge? isn't we been told that this knowledge shall
give us light to find way when we are lost in the dark nights?
My friends might be angry with me. They might think i am leading
them to dead-end without any reason-and i merely take two points and get
crazy with this my so called Newtonian moment to vomit.
So dose my monologue-which is my own whisperefication of truth
making/truth-telling modality through a apparatus is also also
implicated in above paradox?
So i am might fall in my own fallacy?-yes my friend-that is my
point-me, i, you and we all can fall in our own fallacies of truth
making -in search of truth and after death of our fantasies -become
nostalgic for fantasy-till we find another fantasy.
